Sixtine de Mareschal is a freestyler and soccer player. From August 15, she will participate in her first Freestyle Football World Championships in Prague. Her beginnings in football, her goals for the World Championships, her dreams, Sixtine answered our questions.

When did you start playing soccer ?

I started playing soccer when I was very young with my big brothers and at recess in elementary school. I played for the first time in a team in primary.

What club do you play in ? Have you played ?

I played for the first time in a team in primary school at my school: Lycée Jules Vernes in South Africa (being the only girl). From 4th to 2nd I played in my high school team: International French School Singapore. Since I returned to France I have been playing ESPA (Entente Sportive des Petits-Anges).

Your best memory of a match ? or competition ?

My best memory was the 2019 Asian Football Cup in Bangkok. I had a great team and the whole trip was really great. We came third but I have fond memories of it.

What are your goals for the Freestyle Foot World Championships next August in Prague ?

I have just returned to sport recently after having a sprained right ankle so I haven't worked out for a long time. However, I will still try to aim higher. It will be my first World Championships but I'm going there mainly to meet people, have a good time, learn from the best and gain experience. The next few years I will set myself a more concrete goal ;)

Do you have a favorite player ?

My favorite player is Eugénie Le Sommer.

What is your dream ?

My dream is to be happy. It may be a bit banal but to be able to live off my passions: travel, sport, art would really be a dream.
