PORTRAIT N°8 - FATI ROUINA
Portrait of Fati Rouina, football player, founder and president of the Cacahuetes Sluts (@cacahuetessluts), an amateur football team, created in 2012 and based in Paris Nord. The team is defined as creative, engaged and inclusive. His goal ? Celebrate football and Women, from here and elsewhere.

When did you start playing soccer?
As far as I can remember, forever!

What club do you play / have you played in?
I started in the 78 in Meulan in a small club with the boys. Then with FC Bon Conseil, a women's club in the 15th district. And in 2012 I created my football team the Peanuts Sluts with whom I still play.

How do you feel when you play?
A lot of things, for me football is an emotional sport. I am generally very impatient to find my team again and very determined, enthusiastic before a game.

Your best memory of a match? or competition?
It was in Paris during the Paris International Tournament (TIP). In a qualifying match, we were up against an English team, and I had never experienced such fair play! The game was close and ended with a penalty shootout for the CS. In the end, we all congratulated each other, hugged each other, hopped around with each other, we were singing… As if both teams had won! A memory that I will keep forever.

Your best memory off the field?
Very recently with my team during confinement. We usually do our trainings on Tuesdays, so we decided to keep this appointment and meet us online. We talked about everything, a lot of football and the return to a normal life. I realize again and again how much a family a team!

Do you have a player you like the most?
Delphine Cascarino, I like her a lot, I find her playing clever, spontaneous and free. I think it will gain momentum in the years to come. I admire Renard, his game has been consistent for several seasons. And my favorite at the moment is the Danish Pernille Harder who plays at Chelsea, she is phenomenal.

The woman who inspires you the most?
Rocky Hehakaija the ex freestyler, we met in the WCL final, she presented the event with astonishing passion. For me, she is an inspiring women with her tireless positivity and great generosity. I admire her work with @Favela Street in Brazil and Curaçao, young girls and boys from underprivileged backgrounds.

How did you get the idea for the Goal Lovers project and why did you collaborate with ALKÉ?
Goal Lovers was born out of a desire to engage our team and the people around us in a more responsible practice of sport. The first action was to totally ban plastic bottles from our training. It is certainly a small gesture but it raises awareness to change and question our habits. The collaboration with ALKÉ happened naturally, the brand is French and already committed to subjects that are important to us, and above all ALKÉ is aimed at women and young girls, it was the perfect match!

What is your dream ?
Just say "football" when talking about women who play football.

Anything else you would like to share with us?
It's an anecdote. I learned much later what "Sluts" meant. I laughed a lot, and above all I understood that when you do things with sincerity and confidence, everything goes;)
